Your tasks

• Independent preparation, drafting and processing of notarial deeds (real estate, corporate, inheritance and family law)
• Execution of deeds with the land registry, commercial register and authorities
• Conducting preliminary talks and personally supporting clients
• Deadline control, file management and correspondence
• General office organisation using modern notarial software

Your profile

• Completed training as a notary clerk or lawyer-and-notary clerk (experience welcome, career starters too)
• Careful, structured and reliable way of working
• Excellent German and good written expression
• Friendly manner, team spirit and absolute discretion
• Confident use of modern IT applications

What awaits you at the notary's office?
The notary looks after people in important and often complex legal matters – from buying a house, wills, prenuptial agreements and transfers to the formation and merger of companies. The notary advises, drafts and notarizes contracts and assists clients with the further processing, supported by qualified staff who conduct preliminary talks, prepare contracts and ensure their execution in the land or commercial register using state-of-the-art office technology.

What is expected of you?
You should have an above-average secondary school certificate or Abitur. Good grades in German and Mathematics will help you learn the legal and economic way of thinking. Drafting contracts and letters requires very good spelling and expression. As clients' concerns usually involve far-reaching decisions, utmost precision, empathy, a friendly manner, commitment and absolute discretion are essential.

Advancement opportunities
Notary clerks who want to progress can train to become an inspector in the notarial service and thereby enter the public sector. Your knowledge is also in demand at banks, insurers and companies dealing with real estate.
